Sarah Katz-Lavigne

Sarah Katz-Lavigne is a PhD student in her second year in the International Development Policy stream at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University. A recipient of the Ontario Graduate Scholarship, Sarah’s research centres on multinational corporation involvement in mineral extraction in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), applying a property rights lens. Prior to starting at Carleton Sarah lived and travelled extensively in the DRC and the Central African Republic, working on civilian protection programs.
