Rachel is a Global Journalism Fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto. Rachel Browne recently completed her MSc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics. Her dissertation focused on American Christian anti-human trafficking efforts. In London, Browne was a research assistant for a Human Trafficking and Asylum Expert and interned at the BBC. Originally from Toronto, Browne graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours BA in Ethics, Society, and Law and Religion. From 2010-2012, Rachel held various positions at the Canadian Civil Liberties Association. Through U of T’s Religion in the Public Sphere program, Browne collaborated with the Tony Blair Faith Foundation on its Faiths Act Fellowship.
