Keith W. Hipel is a Senior Fellow, Centre for International Governance Innovation, a Fellow of the Balsillie School of International Affairs; University Professor of Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo; and Past President of the Academy of Science, Royal Society of Canada. He was Co-Chair of the Expert Panel on Energy Use and Climate Change (Council of Canadian Academies), which produced the report “Technology and Policy Options for a Low-Emission Energy System in Canada” in 2015. Articles regarding scientific research in Canada and further information about Asian national academies can be found in the “Bulletin of the Academy of Science,” Royal Society of Canada.
