Heather Keachie

Toronto-Based Lawyer
Heather Keachie is a lawyer, currently spending time in Toronto, Ottawa, and West Africa. In Ottawa, she clerked at the Federal Court of Appeal. After being called to the bar, she taught law at the University of The Gambia, West Africa, and took a team to The Gambia's first ever Jessup international law moot court competition. She has recently returned from Niger where she conducted field research on disability and development. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a JD (juris doctor) and a masters degree in international relations. Before law, she studied early modern philosophy at the University of King's College in Halifax, and spent two years living in France, mostly drinking wine and eating cheese.
