Fiorella Triscritti

Postdoctoral research scholar at the Center for International Conflict Resolution at Columbia University
Fiorella Triscritti is a postdoctoral research scholar at the Center for International Conflict Resolution (CICR) at Columbia University. Her research at CICR focuses on social conflicts related to mining in the Peruvian Andes. In particular, she analyzes the role of corporate-community relations to manage conflict and promote sustainable mining practices. She previously served with the United Nations Secretariat (2008-2011) as electoral adviser with the Department of Peacekeeping Operations in Côte d’Ivoire, and as political affairs officer with the Department of Political Affairs in New York. Prior to this experience, in the framework of her doctoral studies (2004-2008), she performed in-depth research on the European Union’s democracy assistance programs in Latin America. Fiorella Triscritti holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute, a Master’s Degree in Economics from Bocconi University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Economics from the University of Essex.
