Former Canadian diplomat
Eileen Olexiuk served in Afghanistan as a Canadian diplomat from 2002 to 2005. She was the first Canadian diplomat assigned full-time to Afghanistan. When the Canadian Embassy was established in August 2003, Olexiuk became Deputy Head of Mission. She has otherwise worked in Germany and Jamaica and was posted to Canadian Embassies in Colombia and Greece.
