Born on the West Coast of Canada, Adam McCauley graduated from the University of Toronto’s Trudeau Centre in 2011 as a specialist in peace and conflict studies. With a well-worn passport, Adam writes about travel, international politics, and conflict from all corners of the world. He holds a master’s degree from Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism. His work has appeared in The New York Times, newyorker.com, and a variety of other publications. He currently lives in New York City.
