A nation that has prospered from its endowment of natural resources must now harness the most important resource of all: its intellectual property. To compete globally, Canada urgently needs to take a new approach to IP, devising a strategy that is anchored by a robust innovation framework and embedded both in the country’s domestic policy and in its international trade agenda.
